Uh, I mean HEAVEN Layer Dip!!!
I'm not even exaggerating when I say that
I can literally eat an ENTIRE platter
of this delicious stuff!
I've done it.
It's true.
The first layer is beans ... spread onto a large
plate. I make a big batch of beans
and freeze it in serving-size portions -
then it's easy to grab for lunch or to
thaw and use in recipes.
Mash and stir in small amounts of
shredded cheddar until you
have a spreadable consistency.
You could use a can of refried beans,
or my mom likes to use the Frito Lay bean dip.
I've used them all - they're all good.
Whatever dips your bean.
Ah, again with the rural shopping.
I was unable to find a good avocado,
let alone TWO good avocados -
so I used Wholly Guacamole!
Spread over the beans.
Next up: sour cream.
Add this in small blobs over the surface
of the guacamole and spread
gently with a spatula.
The fourth layer is pico de gallo.
Fifth layer: chopped black olives.
I like onions ... so even though
there are onions in the pico layer, I sprinkle
on an extra layer of green onions:
The final layer is shredded cheddar.
I like to shred my own cheddar from a block;
I find it is moister and tastier than
the pre-packaged shredded variety.
Now grab your tortilla chips and DIG IN!!!
I just LOVE Heaven Layer Dip!!!
I mean, Seven Layer Dip.
Delicious!!!
Peace out!
